Easter Weekend

This Easter weekend was quite different from most. The weather has been yucky for the past 4 days. Last Thursday we had a hail storm with golf ball size hail. I was at school when it happened so my car got hit pretty bad...$3,500.00 bad! Needless to say I'm pretty upset about that but at least I wasn't the only one! The remainder of the weekend has been full of thunderstorms. My friend Cat came up for the weekend so that was nice! Her sister is having a baby and we are throwing her a baby shower in June. Cat and I went to Hobby Lobby and Signed Sealed to look for ideas! We did come up with some fun ideas..can't wait for the shower! Today we celebrated the resurrection of Jesus Christ! What a glorious day! We headed to church then to my parents house for Easter lunch.

I just love Easter! In years past my grandmother has always hosted Easter at her house. We always have 25-30 people for Easter. This year, my mom hosted it. Cat and I went over there last night to help get the tables and chairs set up. We had about 36 people! It was so nice to be able to visit with friends and family. Due to the downpour we had to have the Easter Egg Hunt inside. We had to get a little more creative on where to hide the eggs. The kids loved it! The eggs were filled with candy and money! My mom has always gotten me a little something for Easter and this year was no exception! She got Cat and I both a basket with candy, shower gel and lotion, and a candle. So sweet!!

Bright Idea

After school I came straight home before it started hailing really bad. It wasn't too bad but it was enough to scare our dog. The first thing I did was let RJ in because he hates storms! He gets scared and whines. After letting him in I noticed he was shedding really bad. I have been after Andy to brush him for a couple of days. So after the storm let up, I took him outside and began to brush him. I brushed and brushed and brushed. I wasn't making any progress! When Andy got home he took over and he didn't get very far before deciding to do this...

Yes...Andy is vacuuming RJ! What a bright idea! I couldn't pass up this opportunity for a photo op. So I ran into the house and got my phone and took these pictures! Only my husband would think to do this! Whatever works! 

Spring Shopping

I just love this time of year! The weather is starting to get warmer and it stays lighter longer. This weekend I was on a mission to find several things for Spring for my wardrobe. A pair of linen pants, Easter dress, and sunglasses. I was able to find all of these items at reasonable prices. I found my Easter dress at MACA in Fayetteville. I love this cute boutique! They have great clothing and jewelry for reasonable prices. I left the store with not only my Easter dress but a second dress and a pair of earrings!

This is the other dress that I had to have! I don't have any dresses like this and can't wait to where it this summer to weddings and the beach!

I bought 2 pairs of sunglasses this weekend. The top pair is from Kohl's and my friend Whitney has the exact ones. I tend to not wear sunglasses very much because every pair I have owned leave marks on my nose. Whitney thought these wouldn't because they are so light! We shall see! The bottom pair is from Charlotte Russe. I typically wouldn't pick these but I thought they would be fun and trendy! I have also been wanting a romper! I haven't been able to find one that fits me well until today. I went to Rue 21 and found a khaki linen romper that looked promising! I tried it on and Whitney said I had to have it for the beach this summer..so I bought it! I think it would be really cute with a coral or turquoise necklace and wedges!
